Fairytale Ending For First-Time Buyers!

By Living Room Realty, June 2, 2018

When Jess and Kelly reached out to me to work with them on finding their condo, I knew immediately that they were good people with good fortune on their side. We hit it off over obsessing over all things data and cool looking eye glass frames, chatting in a coffee shop about what they wanted and needed in their first home purchase. As first-time buyers, they had done a lot of research and asked great questions – making my work a little easier quite honestly! They had also done a lot of searching already and had their minds set on a few particulars – notably closer in that made work commutes a little easier.

After taking them to see a couple condos in areas that weren’t really their ‘hood, they were super excited to see a beautiful condo listed in north Portland. This one happened to be blocks from where they previously had lived, had been looking, and walking distance to some of their favorite haunts. They decided to go for it and put in an offer only to find themselves as back-ups to another buyer. After a little disappointment and a gentle reminder that “what is meant to be will be”, merely days later another unit came on the market in the same building and  just across the stairwell from their first offer. We were all ecstatic and wrote an offer right away that was excepted on the merits of its strength and enthusiastic buyer letter. And the icing on the cake, Jess and Kelly like this one better than the first. This couldn’t have been a more excellent scenario! Congratulations to these lovely people. I feel honored to have had the pleasure to work with them.

Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned homeowner, I’d love to help you on your journey to finding your next living room!
