Do you own a home in Manzanita? The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has just approved and released the new Flood Insurance Study Report and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for The City of Manzanita and surrounding coastal area. FIRMs help support the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and also provide the basis for the community floodplain management regulations as well as flood insurance requirements.
With this new and updated map, most of the City is outside of the floodplain but the City of Manzanita is encouraging property owners to contact their insurance company in September ’18, when the maps take affect.To view the newest maps, click HERE & HERE.
