A Fight Against Multiple Offers

By Living Room Realty, September 4, 2020

Daniel & Rebeca are an incredible couple. They moved up to Portland to set down roots and quickly fell in love with Portland. When we had their buyer consult we discussed their wants and needs and as we dove into their price point we were able to have that hard talk before the plunge that in their price point we were starting to see multiple offers happen again.  The chances we would be competing against multiple offers again was highly likely and they needed to be ready for that. Daniel & Rebeca talked with us about their financial goals and that there were certain contingencies they would not want to give up and had their limits to how much liability they could take on themselves in order for the home to be a wise investment.  With that in mind, we set out on their search and quickly found a home that fit their criteria.

Multiple offers were received and we ended up being in the top contenders but didn’t take the prize. Daniel and Rebeca were resilient and went on the hunt for the next home. We put in an offer and again we were not the winners. At this point Daniel and Rebeca were feeling a little discouraged and emotionally drained, but against brushed themselves off and we went after another home. This time they knew there was a little more that they needed to give up in order to set themselves apart and that ended up doing the trick and landing them the prize of getting into contract.

After the inspection they focused on health and safety items and due to our short inspection period our vendors pulled through and got us bids on all the items Daniel & Rebeca wanted addressed. Knowing that there was a back up offer in place they still were aggressive but fair in with the credit they asked for and the sellers ended up honoring the credit. Daniel & Rebeca came out winners once more.

Congratulations you two! We are so honored to work with you both and are so excited to see your success throughout your home purchase journey.
