For the Love of Rummer

By Living Room Realty, October 12, 2020

Hi Readers!

Been working a lot with mid century buffs lately – which basically means my happy place. This one is about my buyer Briana, who had visions of Rummers dancing in her head as a first time homebuyer. She went through the wringer a couple times on competitive situations, with homes that ultimately were priced out of her budget. So, when she sent me a fixer in Beaverton that had all the right bones but needed a LOT of work – we talked through the implications (budget and timelines) and ultimately decided to go for it!

She wasn’t the only one who had her eyes on the prize; she faced tough competition from cash buyers who planned to flip it. But, we learned the sellers weren’t necessarily motivated just by money. Briana was able to demonstrate through her offer and terms that she was the right buyer, and ultimately, got the house! Now comes the fun (?) part…

Congratulations on your only-going-to-get-more-awesome home!

Are you thinking about a fixer-upper? Let me put my hardhat on and walk you through the options. It’s definitely more than what you see on HGTV…

Till then, high fives!
