Rachel and Jason are the type of people you want in your corner. Community driven folk who are avid foodies, chefs that love to garden. Basically they bring the sunshine wherever they go and have the special ability to see potential and to make things grow.
When we met to discuss their goals, we had to face a tough reality of the market conditions. With limited inventory, the market has been running wild with multiple offers and stiff competition. They took everything we said to heart and decided they needed to get their financial ducks in order before we hit the ground running. And they put on their practical lenses knowing that we had to start looking well below their means in order to be competitive knowing that they would be facing the high probability of multiple offers.
It wasn’t too long after they did this, that this home came on the market. The sellers only allowed a 1 hour window on the first day of it being on the market. We jumped on it right away and we were actually the first buyers to tour it. Rachel and Jason understood the need for speed and good, solid terms. At first the home didn’t seem like the one they wanted but the location was perfect with forestry all around them, neighborhood trails and big yard to grow vegetables in.
After touring Rachel dug her heals in the ground and wanted to seize the opportunity to possibly put the sweat equity to make the home come alive the way she wanted. We competed against 4 offers. Rachel didn’t hold back and submitted amazing terms. It was close, but the seller decided to choose her because of how committed she and her team was to seeing it through to closing.
During our negotiations, we had dig deep into getting all the right bids to ensure Rachel understood what she was up against with this home. She waisted no time making her requests known. After some back and forth we reached an a agreement she was comfortable with and it turned out to be a big win for her and Jason.
Now the fun is about to begin and we are giving them keys this week. She is excited to get painting and planting!
