Gentle Reminder to Support Local Businesses

By Living Room Realty, October 14, 2019

I love my neighborhood,  so much so that I take an active role serving as Board President of the Mutlnomah Village Business Association. It is there that I get to learn about and protect the small business community that we hold dear in the age of boxes of stuff, and bags of food showing up at your front door with the click of a button. It is here that I get to preserve my community of neighbors, shop owners and visitors alike.

With  major construction projects happening now and coming down the pipeline it’s easy to lose sight that this will in fact make our area even more amazing, but a recent paving project that uncovered some unexpected issues has many of Multnomah Village business owners reeling.  If you LOVE the idea of small shops and one-of-a-kind eateries and don’t want MCDONALDS to take over, it has never been more important to get out and support those very businesses. If you are on the west side or looking for a reason to venture out of your living room in a different quadrant of the city, be sure to visit Multnomah Village where parking is plentiful these days. If you prefer to stay close to home, don’t forget to visit your own district. The shops and eateries you love have small margins to stay alive and IF YOU DON’T GO, THEY DON’T STAY.  Thanks to all those wonderful people who support local!

I would love to be part of your next move…
