Diagonal siding, lots of rounded solid oak cabinetry and shiny brass light fixtures are the hallmarks of the 1980s: they’re all great materials but the proportions have been considered unfashionable for the last 20 years. Fortunately everything that goes around comes around and this 2 story contemporary on a quiet cul-de-sac had a great floor plan and beautiful proportions that it sold quickly. I’m hoping the new owners aren’t in a rush to rip out everything that will inevitably be hip again.
