Good people…

…Make my job GREAT!

I never get tired of sharing in the joy of a buyer getting their keys to their new place!  First time buyers remain a particularly moving experience–watching the realization that they have achieved this seemingly lofty goal is priceless.  Move up buyers bring another kind of satisfaction beyond the obvious repeat business– you are entrusted with the trickier task of relocating lives that are likely more complicated than before.  One becomes a small part of the thread of the buyers evolving life story, a humbling privilege, to be sure…and if one is extraordinarily lucky, you get to walk this path with wonderful people like Tessa and Todd.

These two are the mold for all good things you’d want in a client! Smart, articulate, gracious and kind, big picture thinkers, appreciative and prepared to do what it takes to accomplish their goal and do it ALL with a great sense of humor…I could go on, for the list is long! The real point is perhaps to restate the obvious, that it is ALL about the people involved- and I hit the jackpot when Todd and Tessa were referred to me back in 2010.

Last week we closed on their replacement home and while they loved their previous home in an urban setting, their new place offers them the greater privacy and quiet they seek. In a rental home since we sold their SE Bungalow in June, they will now practice further delayed gratification while the sellers retain possession for two months. Come mid-October, I’ll be excited to visit them and sweet boy Will in their new digs. Thank you, Tessa and Todd for being the sweetest of souls- you are just wonderful people who remind me of all my compelling reasons why I love my job!
