My sellers just closed on the sale of their sweet Bungalow!
I first met Mekala and Chris years ago when they were referred my way to buy their first house. We hit it off from the start and by the end of 2014 they were closing on a vintage Bungalow in Montavilla neighborhood
Signing day December 2014! These two are the BEST–I just adore them!
Chris and Mekala went all in embracing vintage home ownership–so many mechanical and cosmetic updates!
They did high quality work and the result, a space that is beautiful, functional and super welcoming.
Over the next eight years, they expanded their family from just the two of them to welcoming two beautiful kiddos! While they have loved their time spent in this Bungalow and it has served them well, as the kids started to grow, they yearned for room to roam. The decision to move was bittersweet –a place can still be wonderful and it can still be time to leave. Happily, they found a home on five acres that suits their lives now.
The new owners of the property are also first-time homeowners just as they were those many years ago. In a time of incredible challenges for buyers, there’s joy and comfort in knowing that the cycle for first timers can continue. It isn’t easy but it is doable.
Closing day of their sale, they popped by the house one last time to make their final farewell. A bittersweet day to be sure…
