Blog Buyer Hazel Hill Happy

Hazel Hill Happy

By Living Room Realty, April 23, 2020

This caption photo doesn’t convey the magnificence of the double rainbow that canopied Hazel Hill Rd that afternoon. The rainbow came as we pulled up to number 8 of 8 homes seen that day with my delightful buyer, Lance. Not intending to be mawkishly sentimental here, but I will never be jaded about taking in rainbows or pausing for the stray deer grazing near the road…and when the Elk at the Oregon Coast grace us with an appearance, I always pull over and just pay attention. Nature making herself known moves me to tears, every time,  in the same way good theatre, a painting or beautiful music will.

When I showed the “rainbow house”(as it was quickly tagged) to Lance that afternoon, he knew it was the one.  We’d seen many homes by then– the “fun house” with the wackadoodle floor-plan and my personal fave the “boogie nights” property.  Lance is wonderfully clever, quirky in all the good & creative ways and spot on articulate about what will and won’t work. When we saw this property on Hazel Hill, it all clicked and that look came over his face (the one we hope for with every buyer) that says this is the one I’ve been waiting for.  Three weeks later, I handed him the keys to his new home. When I met him at the house yesterday, Lance and his pups Magnus and Schatzie were already deep into getting to know his new neighbors, managing to convey warmth and excitement across our new world social distance.

I really cannot wait to see how Lance makes this house his own; there are plans for a hidden bookcase door leading to a private party room (séance!!) and I hear a Goddess Lamp will be featured prominently on the patio. Lance, I adore your spirit! Thank You for being so dang fun to be around especially during these times of COVID.  As in the photo, you brought out the (double!) rainbow in the dark sky and I am immensely grateful.       Cheers, my friend.

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it’s done so far

What’s so amazing
That keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see
Someday we’ll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

(intentional schmaltz, thank you : )
