He builds it I finish it

I first hired Jason to build a built-in cabinet at my Portland house several years ago. He told me from the get-go that he’ll build it but I have to finish it (or someone else). Anyone who knows me knows I’m not afraid of some hard work. Fast forward, my husband and I have been in our Milwaukie home for just over 5 years now and we’ve commissioned Jason for a handful more of projects. Specifically with Sapele wood. I love the appearance of Sapele grain when it is finished and it’s been a beautiful addition to my midcentury kitchen!

Now he does not do email or smartphone but I love working with Jason because he’s so detailed, asks many questions about the project, measures twice, reasonable rates and has a quick turnaround!

My most recent project is the fridge cabinet and because it went to the ceiling, we needed to add something over the oven so the cabinet matched. Viola a wine rack. Now my husband has asked him to build some special record cabinet, can’t wait to see how that turns out!
