Heather wasn’t just looking for her first home, or her 50year home… she was looking for the home that would provide for her and her ageing parents for good. Her search criteria was specific – to be on one level, with the opportunity to build out an ADU and within walking distance/public transit adjacent to her favorite neighborhood, Woodstock. First try on making this dream a reality did not work out. After all the thinking and construction estimates, house #1 was just too much of a square peg in a round hole. Heather had a really hard time with this decision, but she rebounded with an even clearer perspective on her mission. House #2 – nailed it. The location gave Heather chills, the sellers were sisters who were born and raised there, and the kitchen cupboards were even the same as Heather’s when she was a child. This was her house to make a home.
