Hole in One

By Living Room Realty, April 9, 2020

My wonderful clients knew exactly where they wanted to live: in a specific, desirable, over 55 golf course community. It would seem to be just a matter of time before the right home came on the market, There was just one drawback complicating our search–my clients don’t golf or have any interest in golfing, For them, the appeal was a location fostering quiet retirement relaxation, close to their family and–the cherry on the top–an Olympic sized swimming pool available to all the residents.

We enthusiastically viewed each home that came on the market. Several boasted the features they desired, but were also located on those golf-centric lots which viewed the long, groomed fairways, the smooth putting greens and the bubbling and spouting water features that a golfer appreciates.

It was one “whiff” after another. After numerous rounds about the course, that rare, perfect lie fell into place……”out of bounds!”

It was an extremely rare home located on a small section of the community’s border and featuring a large deck that overlooks the sights and sounds of a natural wetlands area. Birdsong and watching the denizens of the water world moving about was awe inspiring, but the Great Blue Heron drifting in to settle on the pond’s edge, sealed the deal!
