If there’s ever been a fighter it’s Becky Jones. Strong single mother of 3 strapping young boys, Lake Oswego Teacher and determined to make it on top with all of life’s obstacles thrown at her at once with a strong family to keep her going. I have rarely seen someone been able to step up to the plate and bat away one obstacle after another with humor and gusto like I have with Becky. Becky contacted Jason & I in regards to doing a double transaction for her. We needed to sell her town home and get her into a new home before the school season started.
Thus the listing process & home search began. Becky found the right home that clicked most of her boxes but had tenants in place so we had to have a 90 day closing which most buyers can’t stomach (except for Becky) and still did not have her town home in contract so the chances of the sellers accepting our offer so soon to coming on the market was slim. We crafted the right offer with the right terms and within a few days we were in contract and now we needed to get that town home sold. *Pow! Becky slammed that ball out into the outfield with full speed to take first base.
During the inspection process we found a lot about the home from the inspection of the home, the HOA and the neighborhood and after an intense battle we were able to negotiate a substantial credit and price reduction that would again set Becky on top. * Pow! Another zinger slammed right back across the field. Second base was landed.
Meanwhile, days before our last day to get her town home in contract we received a cash offer that solidified the town home being one less contingency to the sale of Becky’s new home. * Pow! A slide into third base.
Everything was shaping up nicely, but the tenants were not budging in moving out early. So, we worked together with all parties to find a way to get Becky and the boys in their new home as soon as possible. Soon the tenants came around and allowed an early closing. Town home sold. New home on the horizon. Everything was coming together.
We closed 10 days ahead of schedule and Becky & the boys now have a new home that they are in the process of putting that Jones sparkle to. Home run complete.
