One of the questions I get asked most often is: “How do you do it?” How do I balance being a touring musician with being fully present for my clients here in Portland?
The short answer: very intentionally.
When I chose real estate as a second career, one of the things that drew me in was the flexibility. Real estate allows for some remote work and schedule-shaping, which means I can still say yes to creative opportunities and stay deeply committed to my clients. In my eight years as a realtor, I’ve only missed one key-handoff closing ceremony—and even then, everything went off without a hitch thanks to the amazing network of agents I work with at Living Room Realty.
The truth is, I don’t do it alone. At Living Room, we have an incredible community of agents who step in for each other when needed—whether it’s showing a home, attending an inspection, or co-managing a transaction. If I ever have a conflict, I make sure my clients are fully covered by someone I trust, and I stay engaged every step of the way.
It turns out, I’m not the only one in this industry who’s drawn to the freedom it allows. A lot of agents come to real estate because they value having a dynamic schedule or a second passion—whether it’s family, travel, art, or music.
For me, being able to sustain two careers I love—music and real estate—isn’t just a balancing act. It’s a lifestyle that works because it’s built on systems, support, and showing up fully for my clients when it counts.
So whether I’m in Portland or Portugal, my clients are always top of mind. No matter where I am, you’ll be fully supported, prioritized, and well cared for—because real estate may be flexible, but my commitment to you is rock solid.
