When I began to show T and K homes I knew we would have to find the perfect compromise. T wanted walkability & charm and K wanted privacy & modern finishes. After just a few weeks the perfect home popped up. It was in a lovely residential neighborhood just a short walk to the hustle and bustle of shops and restaurants. The updated home provided a clean modern aesthetic with enough original character to appease both T & K. And the price left them significant room in their budget to personalize the home. There was only one catch…it was priced aggressively and there was A LOT of interest and we knew there would be a lot of competition.
Ultimately there were ten offers on this dreamy home. My clients were well positioned to make an aggressive and competitive offer. We were able to keep the offer clean, free of contingencies and well above asking price. When we submitted the offer we discussed that things work out as they are meant to. T and I declared “if it is meant to be, it will be…” This became our mantra for the next few weeks.
When I got the call that they lost the home to a competing all cash offer they were disappointed but accepted the back up position because…”if it is meant to be, it will be.” And a week later we got the call that the first offer had backed out for personal reasons and we were now under contract on this special home. Yay!! As we went through the inspections and repair negotiations we kept coming back to “if it is meant to be, it will be.” During these complicated times having the confidence that things will work out as they are meant to helps alleviate the stress and accept the uncertainty of the situation.
Eventually things concluded as they were meant to and T & K closed on their dream home…as it was meant to be.
