Let’s Get It!!!

By Living Room Realty, December 18, 2019

Through Real Estate I’ve formed a lot of relationships. These relationships are the reason I’m still in this incredibly high stress business. This last closing was special, as Jake and I were able to help a business partner. The man who is really responsible for the beautiful work that Houselab does needed a home. The owner of the home he was renting notified him that he was planning on selling and they needed to relocate. This is an incredibly tough situation to be in (a perk of home ownership).

Anyways, we were in a bit of a time constraint but found a great property for him. Only problem? It was a for sale by owner. Of course it was. We submitted the offer and after some upfront negotiations we got it accepted! The biggest hiccup of course came up – the appraisal came in low, with required repairs. Looking for win-win we negotiated the price down and took care of the repairs! Last week, it took a hell of a team effort from us, our buyer and the lending team, but we got it closed.

We got John his little piece of heaven in the country side, and we kept him, and the sellers, sane throughout. Congrats buddy! Now, let’s get to the next reno!
