If that title doesn’t make sense it soon will. A friend of mine called me to discuss a friend of hers that had been looking to get back into the market and buy another home with the potential for an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) to be built as a separate unit from the main home. She currently has a single family home with an ADU built in the back yard. We initially looked at some great homes and were beat out by other offers. Then a home on NE 35th St and Prescott came back on the market after falling out of contract. We placed our offer and we were soon under contract. This home has a large garage in the backyard with a perfect “buildable” space above. Oh yeah, it turns out this home is just a few houses away from her current home that she is also keeping. So she just made herself her own neighbor! I’m so happy for my client and I’m looking forward to seeing what she does next.
