We closed yesterday on this custom one-level in the coveted Michelbook Estates in McMinnville. Lest any of us make the assumption that golf course dwellers are too protective of their bucolic setting to have fun, I’ve posted this pic of the neighbors lawn. A spooky welcoming wave offered as a nod to Halloween.
This contemporary beauty was a joy to represent, both because of wonderful original design and because the sellers were lovely past clients. Five years ago I’d helped them sell their long time Grant Park home after raising their family there –since then they have been splitting their time between Arizona and Oregon. This McMinnville home was an estate, owned by the father of one of my sellers, a gentleman who by all accounts was a delight. I never had the honor of meeting him but from the words spoken about him, feel certain I would’ve liked him.
The Michelbook golf course neighborhood and it’s various additions is a great area with a good supply of modern homes near or on the golf course. Downtown McMinnville is nearby and the access to the taste and beauty of wine country is phenomenal. If you haven’t been or it’s been a while, an exploration of McMinnville proper is a worthwhile destination…and not just because all that good wine is nearby!
