I met Clinton and Madeline by email. Going through my messages there was a message saying “We would like to look for a house and Mindy referred us to you”. I knew 2-3 “Mindy’s” from previous jobs but haven’t spoken or even seen a Mindy in 2-3 years. I called Clinton with some reservations thinking maybe it was a spam email. Luckily it wasn’t and Mindy was a former co-worker that moved on to another employer. I remember our talks about construction, drywall, electrical issues, old home restorations, and the such. She was actually very inspiring to me since she worked in healthcare, and was very good at her job, but she also did lot’s of work in restoration and repair “for fun” on older homes that she owned. Something I have recently been finding myself engulfed within the past 2 years.
It turns out Mindy is the mother of Madeline and she remembered me from our previous conversations and I am so grateful she did. Clinton and Madeline are a young couple moving forward in their lives and were tired or renting. We searched in Sandy, Gresham, and Milwaukie for their first home and they instantly fell in love with a raised ranch in Milwaukie. After some light repairs and our final walkthrough we are ready to close this week. It’s an older home that was a rental for several years and is in need of some work. Fortunately for them, and me, Mindy is nearby!
