Miracles happen…

I have never had a deal come together so magically before, let alone in the spring craziness of the Portland market!! Stephanie and Jesse were moving from Austin and first up, they needed a rental that would accommodate the two of them and their adorable (but larger) fur babies. We had talked about them signing a lease given the market conditions and that it might take awhile to find the right home. But, being the most optimistic buyers I’ve ever worked with, they were hopeful they would not need to rent for long. Cut to Stephanie coming up early to start her new job and on the second day, one of her new co-workers said “my boyfriend just moved in with me…why don’t you rent his place until he sells in a couple of months?” Short term rental, no lease…done. And then the co-worker said “And maybe you can buy it if you like it!” I’m sure you know where this is going. My clients loved the home as it checked every box…location, layout and especially price as the seller was willing to do an off-market deal! Dodging a multiple offer situation and appraisal coverage?! Done. A smooth inspection, great listing agent and an amazing lender who gave us a quick close and all the they had to do was have their pod dropped off out front. I could not be happier for this sweet couple to start their new life here…and for Ava and Jackie Moon keeping watch over the neighborhood!!
