Modern Victorian Charmer

By Living Room Realty, November 18, 2020

Jeremy has owned a condo on Belmont for the past 10 years, and like many people now having to work from home, decided it was time to upgrade to a home with more space. He loved the charm of an older Portland home but wanted it to include the modern updates and feel more consistent with what he had become accustomed to in his condo. We searched through different neighborhoods and styles, wrote one offer which got beat out, and eventually this sweet little Victorian off Vancouver showed up on our radar. Gorgeous victorian exterior fitted with tons of updates throughout including new floors throughout, solar panels, a new salt jacuzzi, and bocce ball court! When it came to bidding time, there was a lot of talk from other interested buyers of putting in offers but no one was actually writing, likely for fear their offer would be leveraged. After a few days had passed, I told him it was time to get his offer in and to make it clean and strong with a quick response time since we had a small window of opportunity to make it work. They did end up receiving a second offer but because of our strong terms and quick expiration, the Seller decided to go with the bird in hand despite the other offer being higher. Cheers to Jeremy!
