It doesn’t get more “Portland” than this.
Upon walking in, I’m always greeted with a warm smile and the warm inviting scent of fresh baked cookies. Posies Bakery & Cafe is a home away from home for the community in North Portland.
It’s a Family-Friendly cafe located on Denver Ave (right off of Lombard Street) that provides a safe space for all to enjoy a delicious warm meal or snack. Marked as LGBTQ friendly, this local cafe truly embodies the Portland culture of making safe spaces for all to gather and enjoy. There is even a playroom & space dedicated for children to frolic and play!
What’s even more remarkable is their dedication to the Portland community! They have set up a donation request page on their website for other small local businesses to receive help every year.
This has been my go to spot whenever I’m in North Portland in the winter because nothing beats a piping hot coffee and warm fresh treats to soothe the soul during the stressful season. My go to order has always been a chocolate chip cookie and a Jasmine Pearl Matcha Latte! I can spend hours there no problem because the atmosphere is something you just can’t find elsewhere (sorry Starbucks I still love you)!
The next time you’re in North Portland or picking up friends and family from the airport, I highly recommend stopping by here before going home! Spend an hour or two and catch up with your loved ones over some warm treats and drinks!
