Northwest Condo Updgrade

By Lauren Hurley, August 24, 2021

After six years in a condo in the Pearl District, my clients Liz + Sean wanted to upgrade. They were looking for a larger condo, specifically, a space that had better light and a bit more square footage and flex space for working from home. Open to all areas of Northwest Portland, they had their sights set on moving out of the Pearl, and into a more residential neighborhood with close proximity to Portland’s trail system for walking and running. When this condo on NW Thurman Street in the Alphabet District came on the Market, they knew this was the perfect place! Just a 20 minute walk up to Leif Erickson, a hop skip and a jump to bakeries, the food co-op, coffee and retail shops, this area of NW had a little bit of everything. After some negotiating on price, they were able to take advantage of a softening condo market, where inventory was higher, and get a great price on this almost 1,000 SF condo on NW Thurman. They are in the middle of making some updates to modernize the space, working with a designer to elevate the space. I can’t wait to see what they do!
