Patience and Positivity Pays Off

By Living Room Realty, June 28, 2022

Hitting the height of the spring 2022 market with first time homebuyer clients at a competitive price point, we knew it could be a little while for the stars to align. After scanning the market from SE Portland out to Beaverton, we took notice of the low inventory and bidders getting antsy, offering well over asking. Rather than get ourselves anxious and dismayed, we all stayed calm with a positive attitude. My motto is that there is a house for everyone…you just have to stay positive and stay patient. Sometimes you even get super lucky.

And, as luck would have it, Memorial Day weekend was a doozy. A crazy rainstorm wreaked havoc on the real estate market and on everyone’s vacation plans. We then noticed this very cute little house in the sought-after Bridlemile neighborhood in SW Portland, fully remodeled with new floors, windows, kitchen, bath, central AC. The open house was crickets. Shockingly there were no offers after the weekend was over. After connecting with the listing agent, we found out that the seller had accepted a job offer in another state…they were motivated. We crossed our fingers and came in with an offer 5% UNDER list price. Sellers accepted with no counter offer, and we got the house!

Just three weeks later, these awesome people were homeowners! Patience and positivity gets the job done.

Congratulations to my wonderful clients!
