The Paul and Bekah Sparkle

By Living Room Realty, October 30, 2020

Paul and I (Kristin) grew up together overseas in The Philippines, so it was so surreal to now be in the same city reuniting with our partners and doing life together all over again.  And how amazing that our partners also have a diverse background. Bekah grew up in Africa and Jason lived half his life in Jamaica.  It makes our pre-COVID dinner conversations always fun as he continue to bounce ideas off of each other.

Bekah and Paul have a myriad of talents. They were featured on a show called Tiny House Big Living  for building their tiny home.  The Tiny Home is a stunning 28′ x 8.5′ wide, 280 sqft . Now Paul builds tiny homes, runs a life giving non-profit called Petrichor and Bekah is a professional photographer. They both enjoy exploring and coming home to their beautiful pup Sage.

Little to say, we were honored when they came to us and asked us to be their realtors. For a friend to do this is a huge deal for us because we know that the consequences of working together have the potential to change relationships and that is something we never want to happen. If they are to change we would want them to change for the better of course.

The main thing that Paul and Bekah stressed as criteria for their new home was that they needed a big enough lot to house their  Tiny Home, and they wanted to wait for just the right property to come along in our record low inventory COVID market.  We dove right in and started sifting through the few options that were available. There were some homes that came up that were good candidates, but Paul and Bekah didn’t feel that the prices they were getting bid up to were justified when it came to the properties. So we lost out on a few homes, but when the right property came up they were all in and ready to pull up their sleeves to not let this one slip through.  It had the location they loved and the lot size and potential that they could work on so that it would be a good investment for them.

Jason dug deep gaining as much information about the property and gauging where the others were at and based on that Paul and Bekah determined the price that they were will to submit. They trusted Jason and we were able to package their offer to relay their terms. When we got the call from he agent that we were the chosen ones we beamed with excitement  were so excited to give them the good news that they were in contract.

We dove into the inspections and though most the repairs were cosmetic, a few bigger ticket items came up. Thankfully as a good team we were able to negotiate the water line repair and the other items were either addressed or given a credit for so that Paul and Bekah could address them in the future.

One thing we love about Bekah and Paul is that they can see potential.  They could envision this backyard with a fence like this:

Becoming something more like this:

This was one of their first projects when they moved in and we know their neighbors love them already.

They definitely know how to give life and everything they touch the Paul & Bekah sparkle. Congratulations our friends! We are so proud to know you three and to do life with you.
