I first chatted with Thaun last year about getting into home ownership after several past clients referred her to me. After that initial conversation, I was sure we’d be a good fit. I helped connect her with one of my favorite lenders to begin the process of turning this dream of home ownership into reality. It’s never too early to reach out if you’re thinking about buying a home – especially in today’s market. Thuan worked diligently to get herself mortgage ready and as soon as she got pre-approved, we started looking for her perfect home.
We looked at a handful of homes together before Thuan found one that really spoke to her. The home had been on the market for a couple of weeks and had recently undergone a price reduction. After talking with the listing agent we knew we’d need to act quickly if we wanted to secure this home. We submitted a competitive offer, and were still able to successfully negotiate upfront to have a portion of Thuan’s closing costs covered by the sellers. After the inspections took place, we were able to secure the remainder of her closing costs, a price reduction and a handful of repairs to be covered by the seller!
