Persistence and Determination

By Living Room Realty, March 1, 2018

My grandfather’s favorite quote is “Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.  Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.  Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.  Persistence and determination are omnipotent.”  Perhaps this quote is what Calvin Coolidge was best know for.  The sale and closing of this house took nothing more than that, a lot of persistence and determination.  This house went on the market on October 7, 2017 and just closed on February 28, 2017.  It received an offer quickly, but inspections revealed that it needed a new foundation.  The buyer’s agent and myself worked hard to find a creative solution to keep this deal from falling apart.  The buyers were in love with the house and it was the one for them.  The seller no longer lived there and needed to sell.  Closing was delayed while the foundation was complete, which took several months.  I am so pleased that this worked out.  Thanks so much to the agent on the other side for being such a professional and working through a tricky transaction with me.
