Repeat Business!

By Living Room Realty, November 29, 2021

Back in the summer of 2020, I was referred some lovely clients who happened to be first time home buyers. Summer of 2020 was a wild time in real estate. We wrote a lot of super competitive offers, and were beat out quite a bit before they landed their sweet N Portland Bungalow. They loved the home and did some really amazing updates in the year they were there. Well a few months ago, they called me out of the blue because one of them was offered a really amazing job in New York and were trying to figure out if they should sell their home or rent it out. We chatted a lot, we looked at comps, we discussed their priorities, we went through all the pros and cons, and ultimately they decided it was time to sell. Their only priority was to try to not lose money on the house since they so recently bought it. I suggested they move out first and have the home professionally staged to attract as many buyers as possible. Our plan worked! They bought the house is August of 2020 for $477,000 and they sold it November of 2021 for $535,000. Not only did they not lose any money on the home, but they actually made money! And to make things even more amazing, the buyers and the buyer’s agent were absolutely delightful to work with! Everything worked out just as we had all hoped!
