When I first pulled up to meet with my seller, I was greeted by this lizard! I knew immediately that this house would fun to sell. During the course of the transaction, I learned much about the lizard. He was created by a previous owner and famous artist, John Olmstead. I learned that John still maintains the lizard, by replacing the eyes & fixing broken tile. One year preschool kids adopted the lizard and had to check on her daily. The lizard is famous enough to be on the Portland BikeWalk map as “Lizard Bench”. I feel so lucky to sell homes in fun neighborhoods throughout Portland and love learning the unique stories about each house!
