Skip those enticing big box Black Friday sales and put your money back into the community right here in Portland! Here are some of my favorite minority-owned businesses:

Paloma Medina’s well curated shop offers supplies and tools for building a more productive life – planners, pens, books, plants, and much more. Paloma also teaches in-shop and private workshops on subjects from equity to the psychology of productivity.

Nossa Familia Coffee

Pick up a bag of beans or a gift certificate for a future matcha latte at one of Nossa Familia’s locations around town. Like Living Room, Nossa Familia is a certified B Corp, and works hard to source ethically from family farmers and be transparent through every step of the supply chain.

Orox Leather

Family-owned and operated, Orox Leather has an awesome line of leather goods, all handcrafted in their shop in Old Town Chinatown.

Make & Mary

Working with a third generation Oregon hemp farm, Make & Mary crafts CBD beauty and wellness products. Pick up goodies from their online shop, or at a number of upcoming holiday pop-up markets.
