Silverton Fine Arts Festival

By Living Room Realty, July 24, 2018

The Silverton Fine Arts Festival began in 1972, when a small group of artists gathered in a small area of the Coolidge-McLaine Park. Now, 46 years later the Festival has grown to host almost 140 different artists, including the 24 members of the Junior Art Club.

Throughout the years the Silverton Fine Arts Festival has maintained the same mission- to raise funding to maintain public arts programs for the Silver Falls School District. Co-chair of the Festival, Eadie Anelli states, “The arts are essential in the life of every student. Some students find that it is in the arts that they can thrive and excel.” With funds raised from the festival, students have been able to access workshops, summer camps, and after-school classes.

The Silverton Fine Arts Festival is free and family friendly. Featuring 95 artist booths with ceramics, fiber art, glass, jewelry, painting, metal, photography, sculpture, and wood. There is hands-on art, art demonstrations for all ages, and International Food Court, Wine and Beer garden, and musical entertainment. August 18-19th 2018, it’s an amazing and inspiring event not to be missed!
