Calling All Portland Pizza Enthusiasts

Hey, fellow pizza enthusiasts! As your devoted real estate agent navigating the vibrant neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon, I’ve embarked on a quest to uncover the city’s best pizza joints in every quadrant. In short, we are going on a mouthwatering journey to uncover Portland’s best pizza. Let’s go!

North Quadrant

  • Lovely’s Fifty Fifty (Mississippi) – 4039 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR 97227
Immerse yourself in the artistic Mississippi neighborhood and enjoy a pizza by local Portlander Sarah Minnick. Undoubtedly the pizzas are as lovely as the name suggests, clearly focusing on Pacific Northwestern ingredients.

  • Gracie’s Apizza (St. Johns) – 7304 N Leavitt Ave, Portland, OR 97203
Gracie’s Apizza brings a taste of the East Coast with its coal-fired pizzas. In fact, they use a rye sourdough starter coupled with a rotating selection of toppings. To sum it up, this is my go-to spot when visitors come to town!

  • Pinky’s Pizza (Overlook) – 3990 N Interstate Ave, Portland, OR 97227
Located moments off the highway in the Overlook neighborhood, Pinky’s Pizza creates a delicious artisanal-style pizza. To top it off, they serve a huge range of whiskeys. Did I mention they have gluten-free crust too!?

Northeast Quadrant

  • Paladin Pie (Alberta) – 1602 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR 97211
Venture into the eclectic Alberta neighborhood to discover Paladin Pie. With a New York-style approach and a naturally leavened crust, Paladin offers a distinct departure with rotating specials like kimchi and bacon.

  • Reeva (Cully) – 3305 NE Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97211
In the Cully neighborhood, Reeva focuses on wood-fired pizzas made from locally sourced ingredients. Without a doubt, this creates a cozy atmosphere paired with innovative flavor combinations.

Southeast Quadrant

  • Apizza Scholls (Hawthorne) – 4741 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215
A legend in the Richmond neighborhood, Apizza Scholls is renowned for its New Haven-style pizzas. The perfectly crafted crust and creative toppings make it a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. In conclusion, this pizzeria is no nonsense, no reservations.

  • Scottie’s Pizza Parlor (Richmond) – 2128 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202
Scottie’s Pizza Parlor, also in the Richmond neighborhood, offers a taste of New York-style slices with a Pacific Northwestern twist. Consider ordering the nonna pie, a square pizza covered in fresh basil leaves.

  • Ken’s Artisan Pizza (Buckman) – 304 SE 28th Ave, Portland, OR 97214
Nestled in the Buckman neighborhood, Ken’s Artisan Pizza is a staple for Neapolitan-style pizza lovers. Indeed the attention to detail in crafting each pie ensures a delightful and authentic experience.

Northwest Quadrant

  • Ranch PDX (NW District + 5 more locations) –  916 NW 21st Ave, Portland, OR 97209
Experience the rebellious spirit of Ranch PDX with their unconventional pies featuring cheesy edges, crispy bottoms, and a signature ranch dipping sauce. Essentially the ranch sauce is drinkable.
  • Pizza Thief (NW District) – 2913 SW 1st Ave, Portland, OR 97201
Pizza Thief in the NW District stands out in the crowded sourdough pizza scene. Surely, this is a New York-style pizza with a notable tang and creative toppings. In other words, this combination of flavors repeatedly stole my heart.

  • Pizza Kat (NW District) – 3530 N Vancouver Ave, Portland, OR 97227
Another gem in the NW District, Pizza Kat, is a local favorite known for its classic pies and inventive topping combinations. In order to truly get a feeling for this spot, I recommend taking a seat and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

Southwest Quadrant

  • Society Pie (Beaverton) – 8410 SW Nimbus Ave #500, Beaverton, OR 97008
While not within Portland proper, Society Pie in Beaverton is worth mentioning for those exploring the Southwest Quadrant. As for sourdough crust pizza lovers, this is a must try classic.

  • Hapa (Beaverton) – 12755 SW Broadway St, Beaverton, OR 97005
As an exciting addition to the Southwest Quadrant, Hapa adds a fusion flair to the PNW pizza scene. Experience inventive toppings, specifically focused on Asian Fusion Neapolitan pizzeria.

Your Portland Pizza Passport has concluded. Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through, you’ll find some of the best pizza in America in every quadrant of Portland. My east coast friends are going to give me the cold shoulder for writing this, but I speak the truth. From coal-fired classics to innovative wood-fired creations, the city’s pizza scene goes toe to toe with any other major city in the US.

Ready, set, PIZZA!
