I have said it before, and I will say it again….being a buyer right now is not for the faint of heart. It is so competitive! In all areas, in all price points…it is just tough. I had the pleasure of helping Shannon and George in their home search for them and their two sweet daughters. I used to work with Shannon at my last job, and she has become a great friend. I just adore her and her family. I met with Shannon and George over zoom about a year ago to discuss their home buying goals, and catch them up to speed on the current market. We looked at many houses, we submitted many VERY competitive offers, and they kept getting beat out. Meanwhile, the market continued to heat up and get even more competitive. We re-evaluated their goals, their strategies, and their must-haves, and boom, they got their first amazing home! It was another super competitive offer situation, and we tailored a very creative and strong offer to beat out the competition. They weren’t the highest offer, but they were the best! The listing agent and I had incredible communication, and on the day of closing, he wrote me saying, “The best transaction I’ve had in 2021 (hand clap hand clap hand clap)! Thanks!”
I can’t properly express my excitement for this amazing family. They don’t quite have keys yet because part of our creative offer was offering the seller some rent back time to help his next move transition as smoothly as possible. Please believe key day will involve a lot of champagne and happy tears!
