Lee and Tom are wonderful long term clients but more significantly, they are great friends. We first met in 1999 in my early years of real estate when they were referred by a mutual not-for-profit arts friend. They bought their first investment that summer, a brick mid-century gem in Laurelhurst. Over the years, they’ve made additional investments including a home to eventually become their primary residence. Our friendship has flourished, connecting on their subsequent travels to Portland where we caught up over long evenings of rich conversation and laughter. Tom and Lee’s friendship efforts were meaningful, flying in from out of state to attend my wedding as well as significant birthday celebrations. Real estate, while always a topic of interest, is now secondary to the strong relationships we have formed. I am DELIGHTED they have now relocated to Portland permanently and a Celebratory Dinner is in the works! Let this preamble serve as both an official welcome AND as a big shout out THANK YOU to Tom and Lee for referring their good friends Estrellita and Bruce!
We just closed on a fantastic property in the Hillsdale neighborhood, a spacious mid-century with a stellar floorplan, perfect for the next chapter of Estrellita and Bruce’s lives. Situated on a 1/4 acre lot, this peach is original in all the right ways, retaining it’s period charm but well maintained and with several lovely updates. The architectural palette offers them many options for making it their own, including a full basement for their daughter to have a private space during visits to Portland. The location is genuinely walkable, just minutes to the downtown offerings of Hillsdale. Another feature they love about the spot is the ease with which one can get around including access to downtown without the freeway. Personally, I am a long term east-sider but if there were a neighborhood that could lure me across the Willamette, it would be Hillsdale!
I am thrilled to have Estrellita and Bruce coming to Portland. With their bright minds and socially conscious, kind spirits, they will add to the greater good of our rapidly changing city. Here’s to you two! THANK YOU for being so focused and delightful to work with – I am really looking forward to celebrating this milestone with you!
