I couldn’t be happier about the close of this property at 3631 NE 142nd Ave! With it brings the return to Portland of two of my favorite humans on the planet, Mollie and Cynthia! Four years ago, we sold their Laurelhurst home and they ventured off to Tucson for a fun new adventure. They enjoyed spending more time with their nephew who lives nearby and Mollie, who is an artist, took full advantage of a thriving artists community. Ultimately, they just missed family, friends and the landscape of Oregon too much and for those reasons (along with missing the quirky, forward thinking mindset of Portlanders) they are coming home.
I first met Mollie and Cynthia back in 2005 when they were referred by their lovely friend Susan…who was referred by an old friend and colleague, Barbara. Barbara was the start of that chain, having met her in real estate pre-license school (back when it wasn’t all on line) and we became fast friends. When Barbara (and her daughter) left real estate, even though she’d been at a different company, she began referring her friends and family to me. I’m beyond grateful to her for the golden chain of good people she has sent my way all these years. She’s a gem of a human, proving once again that wonderful souls tend to refer other wonderful souls!
Which brings me back to Cynthia and Mollie who became not just great clients but dear friends. Closing a sale is a good thing to a realtor, of course…but closing this one for me means so much more. Portland gains back two of it’s best citizens… and my sweet friends are back home where they belong. Welcome back, Mollie and Cynthia–we’ve missed you.
