Sometimes, The House Picks You

By Living Room Realty, August 15, 2018

Working with first time home buyers is a unique experience each time. Listing homes can become a bit episodic, with the marketing steps following in a particular order. But with first time home buyers, the questions are always different and the priorities are always different. Really diving deep to figure out what they want in their home and their environment dictates the area they’re looking for, the style of home, the floorplan that they need. A lot of times buyers come to us with an idea that they want to stay close in, but after conversations and sometimes after looking at some homes, realize they would be much happier with some breathing room and a yard. Helping buyers make these realizations is extremely fulfilling. Huge congratulations to Jeffrey for closing on this adorable bungalow out in East Portland. After overcoming first time buyers nerves, he really took to heart when Jake and I told him that sometimes, the house picks you. That happened when we first walked through this house and I’m stoked that we landed it for him!
