Hot Damn! You can buy a sweet little house under $300k again in Portland OR!
Old friends came to me ready to buy a house. Their budget was under 300k. I was skeptical we could find them anything in the Portland metro area. Prices have been going up and up for years and finding anything in livable conditions for under 300k had become unheard of. That was last year it turns out. At first they thought they would end up in Gresham or Tualiatin, or even Salem, OR. Suburbs and cities far from downtown Portland. Low and behold, when we actually started looking we found more and more decent homes in east Portland that were in good shape. They ended up buying a house in NE Portland off of 162nd Ave. A sweet little place that doesn’t need too much work. Its a good time to be a buyer in Portland again!
