Taste is Subjective

By Living Room Realty, February 26, 2020

When my seller couldn’t afford to stage the relatively inexpensive vacant 70’s condo, I did it myself with good quality used furniture from Habitat For Humanity’s Restore. Showings were few when we first came on line and I solicited opinions from my colleagues, expecting a critique of my writing, not my staging. The furniture may not have been my first choice to decorate a room, but I thought it was proportionately right and that the pieces were mostly timeless traditional. My feelings were a tad hurt when some negative comments were made about the decor. Fortunately it sold quickly and the young family, without much furniture, were delighted to keep it. I was delighted not to have to move it again.
