7 years ago, I sold a house in Happy Valley. The clients were easy going and realistic- some of my favorite I’ve ever worked with! They reached out to me asking if we could begin the process of looking for a new home to purchase. Given they are both dream clients, I was happy to get going. We literally saw ONE home! ONE! And they wanted to make an offer. Truly it was the perfect house for their list of needs. I cringed slightly when I discovered it was a FSBO, but knew I had to fight for the win of this home that was on the market for less than 24 hours. The following day I received a call from the sellers that they wanted to move forward with the offer. I was elated for my them! This wasn’t going to be an easy one to snag in a hot market. We cruised through inspections, negotiations were a breeze, the sellers completely understanding and agreeable.. This wasn’t my first FSBO, but it was my favorite. I’ve never met such kind people on both sides of the transaction. The sellers were absolutely lovely, and the buyers were grounded and patient. Yesterday we closed on the home, and as I pulled up to the house to get the keys- I handed over a bottle of champagne to the sellers and chatted for nearly 15 minutes; exchanging stories and laughing. These are the sales that make me love my job to the fullest! I couldn’t be happier for everyone involved!
