Yep- that’s right! The rents are renting no more. Handing keys over to my parents was a moment I will never forget. It meant so much to me they fully entrusted me to be their REALTOR® and felt as though the transaction process happened with ease.
After my grandparents experienced some health complications a couple of years ago, they made the decision to take residence in a one bedroom “Granny Pod” in their backyard so they could support them when needed. My younger siblings live with them too… so they were a family crammed into less than 500 square feet. Once my grandparents no longer needed ongoing support, they excitedly began their hunt for their next family home.
They had been keeping an eye on the market for months prior to getting their pre-approval letter. Once we had one in hand, we had an accepted offer on their ideal home within 8 days. We toured it within a few hours of it hitting the market and submitted an offer the following day. The home is just blocks away from our previous family home… and ticked all their boxes. I knew immediately this was their house and they did too. Knowing it would more than likely go higher than list price, we did everything we possibly could to construct a compelling offer that would win a multiple offer situation. Needless to say we did a happy dance when they accepted our offer PRIOR to the offer deadline!!
After a smooth transaction, I was able to hand my family keys to their new home (using social distancing of course!) They came to the home with cars ready to unload and I blasted 90’s pop from my car and danced back and forth to celebrate. My siblings had rooms picked out within seconds and they were already making plans as to where they would put their toys. I am so grateful I was able to help them with the home buying process and I am so excited for them to begin this new chapter in their lives!
