Perry had been planning to move to Portland to be closer to her son and son-in-law for several years. But she was only interested in one condo building close to her sons’ home. On top of that, the condo needed to be on the main level for aging in place. The first one that came available was on the second floor. The second one was too close to a start week. I sent out a letter to all the owners of the building inquiring about buying a unit. I got a response, but the timing wasn’t right. Finally, this spring, an end unit, that also happened to be one of the largest in the building, became available. Just right! Perry put in a strong offer and scared away all other potential buyers. Sold! She can’t wait to move to town!
