My clients, a young couple that was referred to me by her mom, have finally realized their dreams of owning a home in Portland. They started looking a few years ago but then got the opportunity to travel the world for a year, which, who wouldn’t go do that? I was jealous. When they got back, they got settled in and we started looking again. This time, they wanted to be closer in, walking distance to shops and restaurants. We started the house search and then Covid happened: we all took a step back and when we all realized that they market was as strong as ever, we started looking again. We went through some ups and downs, offers that were not accepted, lots of hand santizer, gloves and masks, houses they loved and a lot of them that they didn’t love but when we walked in to the house they just bought, it had all the charm of an older home but new construction so there is less projects for them to do. We got through the negotiations and inspections and they are now proud homeowners. I am excited for them to start this chapter of their lives!
