Two months ago our world changed. That change has spurred a lot of questions of what the future normal will look like for us. One thing REALTORS® have realized is there’s more than one way to sell a house. The pandemic has affected how we do business and interact with eachother. Through those changes we have started using tools that have made much of the home search more efficient and safe. Aside from getting the best return on your home we need to keep safety of your family and the larger community number one. This has meant limited showings, no open houses, utilizing safety equipment and adopting a new safety protocol for all showings and meetings. In the beginning no staging companies were being used. So we started using virtual staging.
No open houses meant limiting the number of people that would see the house. We started using matterport which is a company that creates a 3D model of your home potential buyers can walk through virtually. It’s extremely accurate and a great way for potential buyers to tour homes while in the safety of their own home. More good news about that is buyers can do it anytime they’re available. It only took about a week for folks to adopt the new methods. Since then they have been a huge and helpful addition to the tools REALTORS® use to sell your home.
When things get close to normal again we will continue to use these newly adopted methods to help sell your home for the highest returns. It’s keeping less serious buyers out of your home and the serious buyers interested. It’s been a very interesting 2 months to say the least. A lot has changed for the long term in such a short amount of time. Seeing people adapt and create new ways to meet the needs of their clients is nothing short of impressive and even inspiring.
