Blog Buyer Trail (running) to home ownership

Trail (running) to home ownership

By Esmé Harbour, April 15, 2020

I was excited when some trail running buddies asked for my assistance buying their first home. Little did we know there would be a few unusual hurdles to cross on the journey (aka, trail). First a seller decided not to sell after all (despite their awesome offer). The next few offers were beat out by higher ones. Finally, they were moved from backup to first position for a favorite house on the eve of the Covid-19 shut down. Being first time home buyers is nerve wracking at the best of times, but even more so during a pandemic. These two kept their cool and pressed on, looking forward to the day they could “self-isolate” in their very own space! That day is here and I couldn’t be happier for these two (not to mention their adorable baby and black lab)! Hopefully they’ll finish some home projects during isolation and be ready to hit the trail when we’re allowed to run together again.
