When a Dream Becomes a Reality

By Living Room Realty, May 11, 2021

Camille and Alex are the poster child of “When a Dream Becomes a Reality” story. They have waited so many years to buy their own home that it is hard to believe that they just became the owners of their very first home.

They started their life as a couple in Seattle, were skyrocketing home prices made it impossible to come even close to purchasing a home. When they moved to Portland five years ago, they set their minds to accomplish that goal one day.

After saving and doing their best to qualify for a loan, they confronted a brutal market for buyers. After several attempts with a previous agent, they reached out to me referred by their mortgage broker. We had a great connexion from the start. I loved Camille’s contagious energy and Alex’s calmed demeanor, they balanced each other perfectly, I felt they were going to be fun to work with, and I was right!

They got their offer accepted for the first home we tried, however, a very nasty sewer issue made them pull away from the transaction. Our second try was also successful and a much better match, a bigger home with a nice backyard in a lovely street of North Portland.

They moved in the day we closed, when I met them to give them the keys, they showed up with all their belongings in a U-Haul, that is how eager they were to move to their very first home. Finally, it felt real!
