If there’s one question I get asked by first-time homebuyers more than anything else, it’s this:

In this case, Marti, Ben and I had been looking for several hours. It was starting to get dark, and we were all tired and hungry. We had wrapped up most of our showings in N and NE Portland, and we had one remaining in SE. I’m so glad we made the decision to embark on the half-hour drive to see this last one! Because…
IT WAS THE ONE!
I arrived at the home before my buyers, and I knew it was the one for them when I stepped in the door. And when they walked in, they were smitten. The seller had left a kind letter, photos of the landscaping and mural in-progress and a map of all her plantings. We could feel how much love and attention she’d put into her home.
So, we submitted an offer. The rest is history!
