Tom and Ali are friends that I met while gardening in my front yard. They have two little kids, and we met while they were on a walk early in the escalation of the first Covid lockdown. Amid the uncertainty of what we were up against, and how to see people safely, they started taking nightly walks with their kids by our house every night. It came to be what we looked the most forward to each day, seeing them, and having our kids play through each side of the fence. Their kids would pick roses from the neighborhood and throw petals over our fence, and our little one would love it.
Ali is from Hawaii, and as the Covid wore on, they needed to be closer to family. They left for the winter for Maui, and packed their bags. As the current spring unfolded, I was so sad, but appreciative when I got the call that they were going to stay in Hawaii, and decided to sell their family home here in Concordia. I organized everything for them remotely, getting the house market ready and coordinating the process for them. We kept an eye on comparable sales, and priced the house really well. They got three offers right away, and were able to negotiate terms that were a win win for both the sellers and buyers. They just closed today, and are super excited to move forward finding their new home on the islands. I cannot wait to visit them over this coming winter!
