Two of my favorite humans from Bend, Skyler & Emma, slipped into a fantastic deal on a “fixer” without an extra penny, or extra minute to do the fixing. Bummer. So they’re resigned to live in it as-is?  No need!

Here’s the deal on this semi-miraculous buyer win. Skyler & Emma’s new place is in a townhouse complex tucked into a scenic wooded enclave across from Gabriel Park and… seriously overdue for exterior paint & repairs. The visible wear-and-tear was discouraging particularly given that the Home Owners Association controls the exterior maintenance and clearly fell behind. On the surface, it looked like a lemon. Accordingly, other potential buyers had scattered.

The deeper story revealed that the HOA is under new and strong management and the repairs were imminent. With a seller paid special assessment, the new exterior work is in progress and may even be complete before Skyler & Emma pull up with the moving van.
