Downsizing: When Your House is too Big

By Living Room Realty, December 1, 2020

That floor you never go up or down to. Those back bedrooms that have been empty for months since whoever moved out. The maintenance seems to never end. Yard needs tending to, handyman list is growing, and heating bill is freaking you out every time it shows up. Chances are there was a previous version of you that lead you to this house. A house meant to be filled with, well for one, other people. They aren’t here now though and you’re a bit caught between two worlds.

One where you aren’t fully living in the house, and another where you can’t get yourself to go through what it takes to get it ready to move on from it.

Your home should serve as a place to rest, experience joy, love, and expression of self. If you are only half living in the house chances are you are feeling more burdened by it than the former.

Downsizing can feel overwhelming, don’t face it alone.

What you need is a boost of energy and a fabulous Realtor to act as a Project Manager. Let me come over, take a look around, ask you some thoughtful questions, and offer guidance to help you dream up the next version of you! Call me!
